I believe that the distances set on the 401 corridor in Essex County make it hard to do business. Massive structures need to be erected. The printing of the signs alone due to their size can cost $10,000 - $12,000. We are a local billboard company and most of our customers are local businesses. The prices for the print are too high. If the province were to allow smaller signs closer to the highway there would be a market for us and our customers. A 12'x24' sign would be ideal and can be made from readily available lumber in the rural areas.
