Kingston Field Naturalists…

Kingston Field Naturalists are concerned about the precedent that exempting Highway 413 early works projects from the Environmental Assessment Act will set across Ontario. Kingston Field Naturalists believe that the exemptions of portions of the project from the Act will undermine the legislation and reduce the effectiveness of any environmental assessment or planning completed on the Highway 413 development. Further, this precedent risks making existing legislative requirements to consider environmental impacts optional for future projects.
