Please protect bike lanes, as they reduce gridlock by existing! Having less cars on the road by providing alternative means of transportation is the best way to reduce gridlock.

Many Ontarians use bikes for work because they cannot afford a vehicle. Taking away this option makes it more expensive and difficult for them to get to work. Further, many use bikes to stay healthy. There are also less emissions, therefore less illness when there are less vehicles on the road causing air pollution, especially in dense, urban areas. Decreased emissions means less strain on the healthcare system and less spending.

Please protect our bike lanes; removing them will only create another lane for gridlock to fill.
