This bill is going to kill people. Toronto’s network of protected bike lanes has enabled more people than ever before to commute, shop, work, and go out at night by bike. Of bill 212 becomes law, tens of thousands of residents will have to decide now whether to store their bike and resume driving (adding to traffic), or risk their lives sharing a lane with trucks and SUVs (slowing down traffic). I’m sorry some celebrities at TIFF complained about gridlock. Bill 212 will be disastrous.
