Bike lanes are an important part of reducing car congestion, creating fast total flow of humans (by any method - pedestrian, bike, car, transit).
They reduce GHG, encourage more local shopping, and are an important funnel into transit systems.
Most importantly, local municipalities know best what they need, and the provincial government should focus on higher order matters of business.
