We need to acknowledge that natural gas aka methane gas, is a carbon intensive fossil fuel and that methane is a major threat to climate balance. For that reason, gas should not be used to power the electricity grid. We need a ramp up of wind, solar, water (hydro) and geothermal electricity solutions. We need to take this action now since climate change is already impacting us with crop-destroying drought, uncontrollable wildfires, rising sea levels, monster flood-producing storms. This is not merely the weather! This is Climate Change and it is getting worse - not better. We must act now to maintain a healthy planet for our kids and grandkids and all life on the planet!

A nuclear-powered electricity grid is not a good idea either! In times of geopolitical instability, they become a target for bad actors. Think Zaphorizhia in Ukraine and the threat of a nuclear accident there with the war raging on between Russia and Ukraine. The nuclear waste we produce must be transported on our public highways, hundreds of miles. There will be accidents! It's just a matter of where and when.
