To Whom This May Concern:
I am deeply upset by the news that there will be raw sewage released into Lake Ontario as part of the development plans for Ontario Place. There will be a great deal of sewage from users of the Spa and others, and it is unconscionable to even consider dumping this effluent into our lake. Wake up! It's 2025. Cleaning up our waterways and lakes has been a decades-long battle and this just sets it back so my grandchildren will never know the joy of swimming in the lake and puts the health of the creatures who live in the lake, in fact the whole eco-system, at risk. My fear is that if this issue is 'fixed' so that the raw sewage is appropriately treated, it will come at a steep increase in the budget for the project -- an increased expense that we, the public, will have to bear! That is unacceptable. We should not have to bear financial responsibility for poor planning by the developers and the province.
