This developer has no interest in following the reasonable application process of the City of Toronto. The developer has no good reason to ask for an MZO other than the developer does not wish to engage with the local community. As reported by Councillor Nunziata, the developer's actions to date have been deceptive towards the community, and hostile to the City. This is unacceptable. I ask that the Minister refuse this MZO and require that the developer go through the City's application process in good faith and with a professional attitude befitting a developer of Toronto housing. The MZO system is not for these purposes or for use by these kinds of untrustworthy developers.
