New pressures from United States tariffs is all the more reason to continue with comprehensive environmental assessments for the York1 Waste Disposal Site Project. Ontario's natural environment provides us with fresh water, clean air, soil and more, providing us with an often uncounted yet staggering monetary value of ecosystem services for free as well as enhancing our tourism sector, more crucial now that Canadians seek domestic travel instead of going abroad. I am concerned that if projects such as this one are rushed, these valuable assets will be lost. At this time we cannot afford to look to the United States for trade that may alleviate any such pressures brought on by polluting our water or soil. While other trade routes are strengthened, we need to proceed carefully as well. Thank you for your time.
