The news that this Environmental Assessment will be removed is beyond disheartening, wrong and very corrupt. As a resident of Dresden I was devastated to learn of the plan to create a construction material processing facility so close to our town, that would handle toxic materials like asbestos. The only relief of stress was that a full EA would be conducted to ensure that the wildlife and our community would be protected.

Suddenly, this EA order has been removed and Ford is suggesting that the site should also take household garbage. There are numerous studies and cases showing the devastating effects of living so close to a landfill. The location of this site in relation to Dresden does not even meet current regulations outlining how close landfills can be to communities.

How will our community be compensated when our property values plummet, and we are forced to stay indoors due to the smell and noise of a landfill. This is absolutely outrageous and needs to be stopped. At the very least, a complete Environmental Assessment conducted.
