This will cause Monarch butterflies to go extinct.m and they are not the only ones at risk. This proposal is a direct violation of everything we should stand for. Not only will the impacts of this be directly detrimental to our local wildlife (that we seem to pride ourselves on having), but these impacts will be seen for years to come, harming many future generations. We have the chance to work proactively against the harm this will inevitably cause. If this proposal were to pass we would have to deal with the fallout from this for years to come, wishing we had rejected it in the first place. Canada’s wildlife and natural environment is so important and I am personally incredibly disappointed that politicians like Doug Ford consistently put their personal gains ahead of the betterment of our province and our country. No one asked for this and if politicians really are representative of the people, this can not pass. Please consider how harmful it will be to allow corporations to decimate wildlife, we are essentially giving them a free pass to do whatever they want. If we don’t want to be the 51st state, we cannot pass legislation that is perfectly aligned with the current US government. Please stop this before it begins.
