as someone who lives in the Dresden area, I have heard many things about the possible landfill being built. not only is this terrible for our environment, it's morally wrong. if someone is disrespectful enough to dump city garbage in our town, they are also capable of much worse. as a high school student, I fear for both our older and younger generations, as this landfill could destroy our community. not only am I a student, I am also a farmer. I am very concerned for my livestock, as the greenhouse gasses coming from the garbage could seriously affect my chickens. our crops are also a big financial component for our family. with the landfill, our water system could be heavily affected. not only will this ruin the crops we spend our entire summers on, this could even affect our drinking water, causing sickness. my hope is that everyone will come to their senses, and realise how wrong or detrimental this could be for our community.
