As someone who almost daily…

As someone who almost daily has to think, work with or apply for permits under the ESA, this change is ridiculous. Animals are mobile, they need wide spread protection outside of their "den" or "home" so they can access food, water, nesting material, etc. I have worked on many projects where endangered species were identified prior to work or on site. It really is not that difficult to work around their windows, pause work to allow the animal to leave on their own, and provide adequate compensation. The reduction of this protect is going to heavily impact our conservation efforts that have been mildly improving populations of many species.
