Let’s think this through. What is the carbon footprint of hauling Toronto’s garbage 300 km west to dump it on a small town ? If the Conservative government was really forward thinking they would research alternative ways of reducing garbage like housing projects to fully recycle all excess product on site. Chip up excess lumber for flowerbeds , grind up excess concrete for driveway foundations and recycle any steal at local scrap yards. This should be part of the building permit.
