I strongly disagree that this bill is in the best interest of Ontario.
Part of what makes Canada so beautiful is the animals and green spaces that we are known for. This act will not only encourage a quick grab of resources, but has the potential to wipe full species off the face of the planet. This is both unethical, but also not in our best interests.
I strongly believe we are stewards of these creatures, and am appalled that our government is suggesting to listen restrictions to make a quick buck. These protections are in place for a reason, and should stay firmly in place.
If there is a housing crisis, I would suggest looking towards the abandoned downtown cores of cities like London Ontario where the vacant spaces outnumber lived in spaces 10 to 1. New homes isn't the issue, being a smart steward with smart city planning is. Don't take that out on the innocent animals and green spaces, we need to leave those driving for future generations to enjoy.
Thanks in advance for your consideration.
