This proposal to list double-crested cormorants as a game bird to be hunted is a terrible idea and should not go ahead. The suggestion that cormorants deplete fish stocks is not based on scientific evidence, and instead the scientific evidence points to the opposite, that cormorants are present when there are healthy fish stocks. I also think it is abhorrent to allow hunters to spoil the meat.
