As a citizen of Chatham-Kent, I am not happy to hear that this massive dump is going in our community. It will pollute Molly's Creek, which streams into Lake St. Clair. This dump will be 640 Olympic-sized swimming pools. It will put endangered species into the extinct in the wild category. This landfill will take up a lot of farmland. This landfill will be so close to a town that it violates the law. According to Bill 197, putting a landfill within 3km is illegal, but this landfill will be 800m away.
