Please don’t allow their stress become Proposal for the Dump/landfill near Dresden Ontario. The edge of the additional property that has been purchased for this large project is literally a two way road width apart from our town line. How is it legal, let alone moral to open, let alone operate a dump/landfill site so close to a town, peoples houses, businesses, public education facilities. This would greatly impact our economy, our communities health and safety with this project being proposed.
The community is based on rural infrastructure and farming practices. We utilize the roads to support our farmers and with transportation of 600-700 transports a day, tractors and buses on the road this is a nightmare waiting to happen. Because we are rural people must drive to work, use internet urban busses, (which only run a few times a day), school buses that pick kids up very early in the morning. Children waiting for buses as these transport trucks go flying by are at risk, especially in the winter. Let alone trying to cross the road to board the buses.
Safety of our town is not being considered. Growing crops that utilize the land surrounding this town, use the river for water to keep their crops from drought, ground water supply, etc. This is all compromised due to the dump, leaching water, contaminated soil from just the dump/landfill material. Let alone air quality issues.
Plus the fact that the dump is already impacted wells in this area with the current situation that has already happened on the property previously unknown to our community.
