Living in Chatham-Kent, I totally disagree with reopening the old Dresden dump without a full environmental assessment of the area in question. Why can’t Ford and the GTA find a site in their own area to dispose of their garbage and waste. We don’t send our waste to Toronto but dispose it locally.
The people of Chatham-Kent should have the final say and decision in the York1 proposal, not the provincial government. It is our area, not the GTA area, that will be affected with the reopening of the old Dresden dump
