I do not agree with putting aside environmental studies or protections when moving forward with any new project. It is irresponsible to disregard the environment or the other species that cohabitate with us in this province. We have a duty to protect the environment and the living beings that inhabit the spaces we wish to encroach upon. We don't need less infrastructure when it comes to environmental protections, we need better infrastructure to ensure that our government is held accountable when it tries to pave over valuable land that should be protected against corrupt politicians who aren't actually serving the people.
This bill tells me that the Ontario government is putting corporations ahead of the best interest of Ontario and this government is not thinking about the future, our environment or the impacts it could have not only on wildlife, but the negative impacts it will have on us as people as we have seen in many recent natural disasters due to poor environmental planning for moving forward with construction projects resulting in loss of human life, loss of environment, loss of endangered species that we should be doing everything to protect.
I say NO to this bill as an Ontario resident
