Employment is important yes - but so is the environment, farmland and protecting green space!!! Regulations like the Greenbelt Plan are in place for important purposes. Employment cannot come at the expense of the environment and agricultural land by requiring that proposals don’t have to conform to any of the listed regulations through an open for business by-law. That is counter productive and moves Ontario backwards, not forwards. This proposal seems to have no rationale thought behind it. Ontario needs to come up with a progressive solution to attract business. This is not it.
