I am writing to strongly urge the Ministry to require a full Environmental Assessment (EA) for this proposed project.

The Sydenham River is a vital part of our community. People swim, fish, and boat there—it’s a place for families, recreation, and wildlife. Any project that could impact this river needs serious environmental oversight.

I’m also very concerned about the traffic. My kids play sports year-round, and our local roads are already busy and not built to handle an extra 700 trucks a day. This raises serious safety issues. What happens when someone gets hurt? Who’s paying for the road damage and the safety upgrades needed? I’m a taxpayer—why should I bear that cost?

This project will affect our health, our safety, and our quality of life. An EA is the bare minimum.
