Consultation needs to be done with the environment in mind. Failure to consult and act properly will lead to delays and cost the government hours and dollars. Bill 5 will destroy first Nation - provincial government relationships. Archaeology will be heavily impacted and senstive sites will be destroyed. It will harm the Ontario and it's cultural history. Archaeology when done correctly does not delay projects as it can be done in tandem with other assessments during the planning phases. Ontario needs to act against the threat down south but we can't destroy ourselves in the process.
