I support the digital tag system. After using these types of Etagging systems while hunting in the USA, I am all for it. It’s time stamped, you can’t reprint or copy any paper tag. If there is a way to have a GPS location on where the tag is notched that would help with eliminating people from not tagging animals at kill sites etc. With this current paper system there are sooo many people out there reprinting tags and shooting multiple, deer, turkey, etc.
Bring back the 24 hrs mandatory reporting system for tagged animals as well. The biggest predator in the ecosystem right now is the way our Ministry manages its wildlife. This would be one good step in the right direction but still a long ways to go.
