Under absolutely no circumstance do I endorse abolishing the Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA), and I am deeply offended by the misleading language in this proposal and the implication developers should be allowed to voluntarily decide which actions would harm endangered species and how much they should do about it. If we have to destroy the fragile natural world just so someone can turn a profit then our system is irreparably flawed. This whole thing feels very American-- Doug Ford's policy choices seem more at home in the south than here, and I love my country fiercely. There is no place here for these underhanded, exploitative acts.
