I am writing to request Bill…

I am writing to request Bill 5 to be repealed. This bill is incredibly shot sites and is taking a chainsaw where a scalpel is needed when it comes to allowing environmental protections and timely development to occur. The new federal government has indicated its interests in streamlining EA’s and other approvals, I believe Ford and his government should be working within the existing EA structure and making improvements from there. The impact of this awful bill will be a generational one, and I cannot look my kids in the face and tell them I did nothing to safeguard their right to a healthy natural environment. Please reconsider this bill. It feels very much like the ongoing green belt scandal and I shudder thinking about the development buddies of Ford that will profit off of yet another selling off of ontario to the highest bidder (ie green belt, the spa etc).
