If this bill were to become law, it would cause devastating effects to our environment. Canada is a nation renowned for its natural beauty, and it is the responsibility of all levels of government to protect it. This bill would repeal the endangered species act, putting thousands of species at risk at a time when many of these species are already endangered. While this bill says it will remove some of the red tape in the Ontario mining industry, that red tape is important to prevent exploitation of our natural resources and allowing there to be resources to use for generations after us. So please read my words on behalf of the young people of Ontario and their future children and grandchildren, please do not allow this bill to pass, please keep our Provence beautiful and ecologically diverse. Convenience of mining is not worth the lives and the loss of our Province's biodiversity.
