I strongly oppose Bill 5. This government is using the threat of US tariffs to undermine environmental standards which have protected our beautiful province. The endangered species act was a gold standard for preserving our biodiversity. With the lack of protection, I fear many species at risk such as the Landings Turtles will either be extinct or only seen in zoos rather than their natural environment. I suggest this government investigates creative solutions to build our economy and protect our environment at the same time. Loss of biodiversity will negatively impact all Ontarians.
