the Special Economic Zones Act 2025 appears to be anti- democratic as it removes decisions from the legislature and turns it over to the premier and his chosen cabinet.
It removes the requirement of Duty to Consult with Indigenous peoples
it allows the cabinet to arbitrarily apply any law or no laws to whomever they choose, with unrestricted discretion.
It abandons the requirement for public participation under the Environmental Bill of Rights
