I am against this proposal…

I am against this proposal. There is NO good reason that any project should be exempted from a full heritage assessment, especially where indigenous heritage is concerned. Ignoring indigenous heritage, and archaelogical assessments would spit in the face of reconciliation. Laws exist for a reason and need to be followed to make sure a project does not create undue damage and cost to taxpayers, the environment and heritage. To do otherwise is reckless and irresponsible. The government should not allow private companies to act above the laws that are in place.
