Its obvious this bill is beneficial for a few and detrimental for most. Mr. Ford continues to roll back environmental regulation in the name of a faster and smarter economy. Fast and smart as it pertains to natural resource regulation and housing development does not got hand in hand. The idea of not only elimination modern environmental regulation, but also consultation is an attack on what are society is built on. Consultation is a pillar of democracy. The idea of not having an opportunity like this to be heard is backwards. If these developments take place more pressure will be on a natural infrastructure in our cities. The trees, the parks and the naturalized forests will all be vulnerable to fast tracked changes that do not consider extreme heat events that wind up being disproportionately affecting lower income communities who already lack trees and natural infrastructure.
