If the idea is to stop the flow of contaminants from the Parkers Cleaners discharge southward
toward the lake, why does City of Burlington test and contain along the bike path just south
of New Street from Guelph Line to 2400 New Street? Add the cost to Parkers Cleaners tax bill or
lien their business? This flow has gone on for so many years now is the time to stop it once and for all.
Is this viable? Why was this not done before? Why was the contaminate even allowed to cross New
Street southward? Why has this gone on for so very long? Is dumping the cost on totally innocent tax paying property owners the only solution to this?? Will the City rebate from property taxes any costs
incurred by a property owner? There must be a better solution to this whole mess.
