I am against the reduction in targets to divert plastic waste from landfills and allowing producers of plastic waste more time to fulfill their obligations to reduce packaging.

We don't have time to delay fixing the growing problem of plastic waste and recycling is only one method of diverting waste from landfills. The best method is to REDUCE and this could be partially accomplished through a bottle deposit system and any deposit system should include takeout containers that are not biodegradable.

This government is a disaster for Ontario's environmental goals.
