Good day,

I am a resident of Greensville, Ontario. Our town and surrounding communities fought against the proposal to burn garbage in the lime kilns at Carmeuse Lime. Hundreds of people gathered at Greensville School in protest of this ill-conceived plan. It was wrong at that time and it is wrong today. The lime kilns are decades old and do not have modern measures to filter out harmful emissions including particulate matter. I disagree with making it easier for the companies producing plastic containers to be able to burn them as a method of recycling. The companies that produce plastic containers should be responsible for an alternative to plastic and to make plastic containers refundable.
