I have lived full time in Allenwood Beach since 1983, and have always believed that area belonged to the Provincial Park and was open to all of Ontario residents to use. I do not want to see any of the Provincial Park beach areas transferred to the Town of Wasaga Beach. We cannot afford the cost to the municipal tax payers for the security and maintenance of the public beaches. The beachfront at beach 1 and 2 have already been compromised by the addition of a hotel and condos and I fear the future may bring gated private areas on the beaches adjacent to Wasaga Beach. This long freshwater beach should belong to the Province of Ontario as a Provincial Park open to all who reside on Ontario.
