Re: Wasaga Beach. The province should keep ownership of the beaches 1 &2 as well as Nancy Island. The province created this park as the town did not have resources/expertise/foresight to create and maintain the beaches along the Bay. Any council is only in place for a minimum 4 years with potentially little to no education/expertise, especially concerning Nancy Island. There is no continuity of knowledge/ experience. Transferring ownership will increase taxes to residents, who have seen an over 20% tax increase for the past three years. Can an inexperienced council/town staff be trusted? I prefer to have the current & historical knowledge of the provincial departments maintain ownership.
