I have been a Wasaga Beach resident for over 40 years and I do not support the town gaining ownership of Beach 1 and 2. The maintenance fees to maintain it would be too costly for the taxpayers to absorb. I also feel the experts at the provincial level have a much greater understanding of environmental issues related to the upkeep of the beach areas. The beach should be available for everyone in the province and I am afraid if it is turned over to the town of Wasaga Beach restrictions will be put in place so that the usage of the beach is only for a select group of people.
