The destruction of green space for the development of land for more condos, townhomes and multi use buildings, for the purpose of getting more taxes is reprehensible. People move out of the city to avoid gridlock and over population of areas, yet it seems that doesn't matter. Wasaga Beach should be preserved as a small town and the forests and beach should be protected from over population. There is enough traffic there in the summer with tourists coming up, to create more would wreak havoc on the infrastructure. It is happening in Collingwood and the Blue Mountains as well, not enough health care and infrastructure to support the people that live there, but more tourists coming up and cheaply built and ugly condos going in everywhere. Taxpayers should have a say in how their towns are developed.
