Climbing in Ontario has a long and established history with room for growth and community building. One need only observe Elliot Lake's adoption of rock climbing on nearby land to see a community which has embraced the positive impact that rock climbing can engender; a common story worldwide. Much of the rock climbing in Ontario is on provincial park land. Working with the community to enable the rediscovery of this heritage would serve as a way to further enjoy what nature has to offer.
