As an Ontario climber I am extremely excited to see Ontario parks begin to recognize climbing as a legitimate form of recreation to be permitted within park boundaries. Climbing is an integral part of my life that has fostered community as well as a love and desire to protect our natural areas. Climbers in general from my experience tend to be great environmental stewards. Officially recognizing climbing at devils glen will have a positive impact on the climbing community and I believe I can speak for all climbers when I say we will be happy to give back and care for these unique environments.
