Re: Devil's Glen amendment.
I am a long time resident in close proximity to Devil's Glen Park. I have several concerns about the future of Devil's Glen Park. 1. The park has become overgrown and badly in need of some TLC including tree trimming and branch removal. March's ice storm created further havoc in an already overgrown and potentially dangerous situation. 2. The Park has become very popular for fall colour viewing. For the past few year's this has created a treacherous situation due to lack of parking. Viewers park cars along both sides of Highway 124 which I believe is illegal, not to mention people running back and forth across the highway to access the park. This road is extremely busy and is a series of S bends, on which the park is adjacent. I have witnessed several close calls due to cars parking, pulling out of parking spaces without having a clear sight of traffic travelling either east or west. A very very dangerous situation which is just a matter of time until there is some sort of catastrophic accident. 3. The policy of garbage in and garbage out is only as good if people adhere to it. Many do not. There is much refuse left about which is both unsightly and attracts wildlife, again another danger. Thank you for your interest and I believe it all of these issues are addressed, it can move forward. Otherwise, more thought should be put into this. Thank you.
