Hello. My family has owned a cottage in Wasaga Beach for 65 years so we have seen a lot of changes. I have read as much information on this proposal as I can find including the letter from the mayor. I was very curious what the towns position was so the letter was very informative. While it sounds like a good plan to preserve all the nature and habitats while improving the town, I fear that in the future the ideas may change with a new mayor and council and developers will be allowed in and the beach will changed beyond repair.
I feel right now that all of the beach should remain a provincial park at least until we see when the main beach construction is completed.
Many things look good on paper at first, but the finished product ends up not at all what you expected. Thanks
