I'm a supporter of our national, provincial and conservation areas. I truly believe that our parks are some of the best in the world or at least compared to the all of the parks I have been to in my travels. I can say this with some confidence as I have traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, Africa and New Zealand. (see link below)

Climbing has been a very big part of my life for almost 40 years. I have climbed all over the world and now that I'm back living in Ontario I'm loving the time I get to spend in our parks climbing. It is truly beyond me why climbing has had such a negative image in Ontario as most climbers have been amazing custodians of our crags and trails.

I cut my teeth at Rattle Snake, Metcalfe and Lion's head. Devils Glen is truly an amazing place and should be enjoyed by all of us. Not just climbers but hikers and every one who love the out doors. I know I appreciate every time I get out there and it's not just the climbing.

I think it isn't too presumptuous to say that all climbers love the outdoors and being in nature.

I truly hope that Ontario Parks helps legitimize climbing in Ontario.
