I'm writing in support of the proposed amendment to the Devil's Glen Provincial Park Management Plan, and in particular the addition of a policy under section 8.2 to state that rock climbing may be permitted in areas designated by the park superintendent. I am a climber, hiker, and nature lover who is committed to conservation, and I think that a formal addition permitting rock climbing in designated areas will promote a more balanced, consistent approach to recreation and conservation in the area. It will help raise awareness amongst all users of the park about what kinds of activities are permitted in what areas, and what the expectations are of people who engage in those activities. I'm looking forward to continuing to enjoy the park, and supporting conservation efforts!
