I am an Ontario resident and I vehemently oppose the proposed changes to the species conservation act. I hold this opinion because I know the changes will result in a significant decrease in the quality of life and the population of many species native to Ontario by taking the responsibility of maintaining their habitats away from the developers trying to destroy them. Regardless of which government is responsible I will always oppose the idea of giving developers more power over our wildlife. Canada is such a special place in the world not because we have such nice subdivisions and parking lots, but because of our gorgeous natural environment. I want my children to be able to enjoy it as I have.
