I object to ANY form of water treatment that does not provide the HIGHEST level of environmental protection Possible. There is no excuse to taint our water when it has not been tainted. There are people, animals, plants, and aquatic life that have suffered already due to environmental degradation in this area WITHOUT effluent being placed into our waters. As an indigenous person, and as a human being, I wholly object to anything less than what is the most protective system.

The financial savings of a private corporation are of NO SIGNIFICANCE compared to the current and future generations of life on earth and the health of our waters.

To approve anything less than the most effective and protective water treatment system (such as closed loop) is to abstain from reconciliation, environmental stewardship, and honourable acts as the authority over environmental matters in the government of the people of Canada.

The government has the responsibility in the name of Canadian values and truth and reconciliation to mandate that Searchmont Ski Hill implement closed loop, or whatever the MOST PROTECTIVE technology is. If there is anything less than what is best approved for development, you should expect a group of people coming forth seeking detailed answers. Matters as critical as environment are not trivial. Please do not put corporate interest and capitalism before the health of planet earth and future generations!
