We live directly across from the Quarry, with a wetland that houses species at risk and endangered species. A drawdown effect from this increased water use could affect our well, pond and affect the stewardship and restoration of this land. Further, If they are taking this amount of water from the aquifer and then depositing in surface water after washing, there could be toxic sediment that negatively affects our water quality and livability on our land.
We support the findings of Garry Hunter and associates, that has determined permits and relevant data to be insufficient in demonstrating safety for this augmented water use.
