Huge population growth; water bottling companies; major farming areas; climate change; droughts becoming more common; wildfires occurring every summer across Canada; large AI companies now need huge amounts of water to cool their computer warehouses and now a proposed aggregate blasting quarry wants more water. Dufferin/Caledon is the headwaters of 4 major rivers waterways flowing into the Great Lakes. We have lots of water until there is none. We waste & waste. Our clean water is not so clean anymore. AND, WE PRACTICALLY GIVE IT AWAY!! WHO IS LOOKING AT THE BIG PICTURE??
We cannot live without clean air and water. Our watersheds and aquifers are shrinking.
I OPPOSE this extra water taking application by Strata for an unneeded, dangerous, contaminating blasting quarry.
