I suppport the proposals to expand protected areas in Ontario and in particular in the Southern Georgian Bay area. I have enjoyed time spent in nature in Kolapore, the Len Gertler Forest, the Beaver Valley Lowlands, Pretty River Provincial Park and Nottawasaga Lookout Provincial Park. Preserving these areas for future generations and for the ecosystem services that natural areas provide including supporting biodiversity.

Ontario should continue to press forward and commit to protect 30% of its lands by 2030 to strengthen nature based solutions for climate change, biodiversity protection and recreation opportunities. These relatively small but very important additions to Ontario's protected areas are applauded and hopefully just a start.
