Removing protections for these at-risk species in the name of economic benefits will result in catastrophic biodiversity loss and ecosystem collapse. These protections and species listing processes are in place for many reasons that are backed by decades of scientific research and evidence. These changes will cause considerable harm not only to the wildlife listed and their habitats but also to Ontarians.
